Drew was such a strong, loving little boy. To honor his memory, our family has chosen to raise money to purchase automated external defibrillators, or AEDs, to place at local playgrounds. This will benefit children and adults.
An AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.
We would also like to put together grief packages for local families who have suffered the loss of a child.

Mended Little Hearts of WNY is hosting a blood drive at the American Red Cross in Lockport, NY on Wednesday, December 14th from 1pm - 7pm. Children battling congential heart defects often need blood at various times due to multiple surgeries. What better way to show thanks during the season of giving than by giving the gift of a blood donation in honor of our little Angel Drew.
